“He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ”

Our first name, Living Hope, comes from 1st Peter 1:3 which reads “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.”

Throughout the book of 1st Peter, those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ are told that living hope should characterize their lives. No matter what happens in the world around them, Christians can rest secure and have hope knowing they will spend eternity with God in heaven.

The name of our church expresses the life and hope God mercifully offered us through his Son, Jesus Christ. We serve a risen, powerful and loving God—the One who brings living hope!
