MINISTRY GOALS
We desire for LHWC to become a primary spiritual leader in the community of Madison. As part of this vision, we desire to become a hub for regional training events and a place where clear Biblical worldview is taught and demonstrated.
We desire to be a “sending church,” aiming to be managers rather than owners of our resources, both human and material. We believe there is a direct correlation between our willingness to give and God’s willingness to bless.
We desire to be faithful in maintaining an outreach focused mindset, believing God wants us to reach hundreds of people for Christ.
We desire to develop and offer quality children’s ministries that will assist parents in raising their children in a loving, healthy, and God–centered environment.
We desire to develop and offer a quality youth ministry that will assist teens as they transition into adulthood by teaching them clear Scriptural truth and providing them an environment in which they can have fun, own their faith, and cultivate proper foundations for life.
We desire to be involved in ministries of restoration; reaching out to those the world might consider the “down and out” and extending to them the compassionate hand of Christ.
We desire to develop functional adult discipleship ministries that will assist adults in deepening their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of our strong focus on outreach, we desire to include no less than 70% of adults who consider LHWC their church home in weekly discipleship ministry.
We desire to develop a strong influence for Christ on the campus of Dakota State University, but to do so in a way that supports the ministries of InterVarsity and other Christian organizations on campus.
We desire to continue to add staff as the Lord leads, investing in human resources and developing individuals called and anointed by God for ministry.
